SATELLITE 2022, the highly anticipated international space satellite conference and exhibition, concluded successfully on March 24th in Washington, D.C., USA. The event was also attended by prominent companies such as SpaceX and OneWeb, resulting in unprecedented success. A team of 9 Taiwanese companies organized the exhibition to highlight the visibility of Taiwan's space industry, led by the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and National Space Organization (NSPO) of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The "Taiwan Space Pavilion" attracted nearly a thousand international customers and investors, opening up new procurement channels for domestic companies and propelling the space economy forward.
SATELLITE 2022 was held from March 22nd to March 24th. The exhibition theme included communication, aviation, and satellite, among other things, with advanced communication and hardware and software equipment, broadcasting and satellite products and services, launch equipment and services, and so on display. Taiwanese companies concentrated their efforts on advanced satellite communication and equipment.
In order to demonstrate Taiwan's determination to actively invest in the development of the space industry, "Taiwan Space", a joint exhibition organized by the IDB's Beyond 5G LEO Satellite Industry Development Promotion Program and in collaboration with NSPO, was held. Nine domestic satellite industry-related companies, including Tensor Tech CO., LTD., Gran Systems Co., Ltd., TMY Technology Inc., Tron Future Tech, PYRAS TECHNOLOGY INC., Rapidtek Technologies Inc., JONSA Technologies Co.,Ltd., Universal Microwave Technology Inc., and Eagle Metal Manufacture Co., Ltd., displayed dozens of innovative domestically produced solutions such as satellite control systems, sensors, and antennas. These solutions' technological level is on par with international standards, which impressed visitors. Auden Techno Corp., a well-known industry leader, also participated in the event.
The "Taiwan Space" exhibition integrates the energy of Taiwan's space industry chain and presents Taiwan space industry's characteristics and advantages. The strong lineup of participating companies no longer operates independently but showcases Taiwan's industry's innovative technological prowess and product diversity to the international market. This will aid in the internationalization of domestically produced satellite communication products and the development of Taiwan's next-generation communication industry.
A matchmaking activity was also held during the event, which drew many internationally renowned aerospace and satellite industry players, including ViaSat, Hughes Network Systems, Lockheed Martin, NanoRacks, GeoSync Microwave, Infostellar, and Singaporean satellite service provider SingTel Sat, who engaged in enthusiastic exchanges with domestic firms. The international behemoths expressed their deep admiration for Taiwan's advanced satellite-related products, especially in light of the impending arrival of the satellite network communication era, where industry demand is high.
